Trying to find an engineering internship. Is it good enough? Objective: Motivated student seeking an engineering internship Education: University of Wisconsin – Bachelor of Science: Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering Junior Standing Computer Skills: AutoCad, Microsoft Office Lab Skills: •Conducted various lab tests in chemistry. •Learned about the use of different materials such as polymers, metals, and ceramics from Intro to Materials. Plenty of lab time with the class, performing tasks such as heat treatment, cold working, tensile tests, and impact testing. •Toured through several manufacturing companies with manufacturing processes class. Watching closely how everything works, and how the job gets done. Work Experience: Subway (Pilot) July 2009 - Present (Part-Time) •Provide friendly customer service while working as a sandwich artist and cashier •Efficiently and accurately complete customer orders per their request •Answer questions about products •Ensured a pleasant environment by keeping work areas clean •Train new employees in how to make sandwiches and how to operate the cash register UW Manufacturing Research Assistant October 2011 – Present •New student of IAC (Industrial Assessment Center) •Does research for Dr. Chris Y, such as sample reports on greenhouse gases, life cycle assessment of lithium-ion batteries, and environmental impacts on printed circuit boards •Soon to be working on more research with IAC program UW Band, October 2007 – April 2010 - •Played trumpet in the pep band for home basketball games (average 1-2 per week) •Participated in monthly practices •Travelled to other cities for play-off games KFC May 2008 – September 2008 (Part-Time) •Worked in kitchen as the cook. •Ensured food was prepared properly •Reduced potential waste by preparing food with traffic patterns in mind Achievements: •Received two student achievement awards presented by Franklin High School, Junior and Senior year.
