Hi there. I'm a junior at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I have been offered a full time summer job for $9.20/hr as a custodian on campus here. However, I was really hoping to find an internship this summer related to my major (Retailing and Marketing). The university would like to know by Friday if I accept the position, otherwise they're going to offer it to someone else. I really don't want to be jobless this summer, as full time, 40 hours a week will greatly help. But I'm not sure if I should decline the offer and wait to see if I can get in somewhere else. The pay doesn't matter to me, I just want to know if it would be wise to have other experience. I currently am a student supervisor in a dining facility on campus, so I guess you could consider that somewhat of retailing experience. Thanks for reading and your suggestions.... Read More »
